JOHN POHLMANN

Our Head of Research & Development has run several thousand trials pairing different spirits and woods, building a database on which we can develop bespoke solutions. With three degrees in molecular plant biology, John has gone to greater depth in terms of researching and experimenting with different wood types than anyone before. He will work tirelessly to design the process that meets David’s quality control and our clients’ flavour expectations.

DAVID ROBERTSON

Our Whisk(e)y Master, formerly Macallan Master Distiller has nosed thousands of casks over his 30 years in the industry and is well positioned to understand and deliver a great whisk(e)y. His pioneering work in Sherry cask creation, optimization and flavour development research is the foundation on which we build our offer.

MARK POHLMANN

Our Finance Director ensures that REDLAYER runs like clock work in terms of all financial and administrative matters. As a former Investment Banker, Serial Entrepreneur and Venture Capital Investor he is well aware of the importance of operational excellence and customer satisfaction and keeps a close eye on the company’s steady development.
